About the Program
Legacy Dance is a studio at 55 S Gibson Rd, Suite 113, in Henderson. It teaches dance for ages 18 months to 18 years, and families can pick a recreational track or train for the competition team.
There are 9 styles: ballet and pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary and lyrical, hip-hop, acro and tumble, musical theater, Combo and Tots for the littlest dancers, and extra technique classes. Ballet starts at Ages 5 and up, and jazz at Ages 6 and up. Teachers place each new student, so you do not have to guess the level.
The first class is free. You share your child's age and experience, the front desk suggests a class, and your dancer tries it with no pressure. Ballet has a real dress code: black leotard, pink tights and pink shoes, hair in a bun, with a t-shirt and black shoes for boys. Beginning tap uses tan tap shoes.
