Games on our events calendar from October 2 to November 14: Silver and Black Youth Flag Football League, Vegas Bourne Youth Soccer League, Youth Baseball League, Youth Indoor Hockey League, Youth Kickball League, Youth Pickleball League, Youth Softball League, Youth Volleyball League.

City and county winter break camps post their dates in the fall (both were up by early October in 2026). The low-cost spots go first, so October and November are the time to book.

Henderson winter rec basketball runs December to February, so watch for sign-ups in October and November.

Rainbow Company Youth Theatre has opened audition sign-ups on November 1, with auditions in early December for spring shows.

Spring rec soccer runs February to May, so watch for sign-ups in December and January.

Many popular summer camps open registration in January and February. Pick your top three or four now and get on their email lists, so you hear the day sign-ups open.

Spring break is a single week, so each camp only has one week of spots. January is a good time to start looking, and the county day camp is first come, first served.

Henderson Little League has held tryouts in mid-January, with opening day in early March. Check your local league in December so you do not miss registration.

Vegas NFL FLAG has closed spring registration in mid-January, for a season that runs March to May.

Some valley club basketball programs hold spring tryouts in late February and early March. Rec leagues are the easier start if your child is new to the sport.

If you work full time, count the summer weeks you need covered and book those first. Fill in the fun specialty weeks around them.

Henderson has opened pool reservations in early April, and City of Las Vegas swim lesson registration has been open by mid-April. Public pools open around Memorial Day.

City of Las Vegas summer rec basketball registration has run from mid-April to mid-May, for a season that starts in early June.

Fall soccer sign-ups happen in spring. One valley AYSO region has offered early-bird pricing into May and closed registration in late August.

Two of the larger valley soccer clubs have held tryouts the last week of May.

One valley Little League has closed fall registration in early August, for a season that runs late September to mid-November. June and July are the time to sign up.

Youth tackle football practice has started the second week of August, and NFL FLAG has run free camps in August. July is the time to sign up.

Older club volleyball tryouts have been held in late July, for a season that runs December to June.

Fall theater classes and ensembles start with the school year, so August is the month to enroll.

Younger club volleyball tryouts have been held in early October, so September is the time to look.
