For schools, PTAs and libraries

Put this week's family events on your site

What is there to do with the kids this weekend? This free calendar answers it right on your school, PTA or library page, with free events first.

This week, across the valley

Family events for the next seven days from Henderson to Summerlin to North Las Vegas: library story times, city rec programs, park days and more.

Free ones first

No-cost events sit at the top, so the families who need them most see them first. Or switch to free events only.

Nothing to keep up

The list refreshes through the day by itself. Paste the code once and it stays current all school year.

The second line is a plain text link to the full calendar. Keep it if you can: some site builders strip iframes, and the link still gets families to the calendar when that happens.

How to add it to a school or PTA site

Anywhere you can paste HTML, it works. A good spot is your family resources or PTA page, or next to the school calendar. If someone else runs your site, email them this page.

Google Sites

Click Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab. Paste the code, click Next, then Insert. Drag the box taller if the list gets cut off.

WordPress

Add a Custom HTML block where you want the calendar and paste the code. Some WordPress.com plans strip iframes; if the preview comes up blank, the text link in the second line still works.

Squarespace

Edit the page, add a Code block, paste the code and save. If you see the raw code instead of the calendar, turn off Display Source in the block settings.

Wix

Click Add, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML. Choose Code, paste, click Update, then drag the box to fit the list.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. No account, no sign-up and no ads inside the widget.

What shows up in it?

Public family events in the Las Vegas Valley for the next seven days: the title, date and time, place, ages when we have them, and a Free tag. Each one links to its PlayPivot page in a new tab, with the full details.

Does it collect anything about our families?

No. The widget shows public event listings only. It has no forms, no ads and no analytics cookies, and it never asks for a name or email.

Will it look right on a phone?

Yes. It shrinks down to a 300 pixel column, and long event names trim to one line so the list stays readable.

What if there is nothing on this week?

It says so in a friendly line and points families to the full calendar, so the box is never just blank.

Can our school's event be on it?

Yes. Send it through the event form. Once it is approved, it shows up on the calendar and in every copy of the widget across the valley. Submit an event.
