About the Program

The Dance Zone is a Henderson dance studio on South Eastern Avenue (Suite 100) that has been open for more than 25 years. Along with dance classes for every age and level, it runs Applause Arts Musical Theatre, competitive dance teams, workshops, adult ballet, and an open technique class for high schoolers.

The 2026-27 recital season started in August; call 702-897-5690 to ask whether registration is still open. The studio calendar lists seasonal events, recital costume weeks and Parent Watch Week, when you can see class in action, so check it for current dates. An in-studio Tutu Cute recital is May 15, and the big 2027 recital is June 4 and/or 5 at the Westin Lake Las Vegas.

The studio closes for Nevada Day and Halloween, for Thanksgiving week, for winter break, and March 14 to 21 for spring break, which lines up closely with CCSD breaks. Studio hours run weekday afternoons and evenings, with Saturday hours too; check the hours page for the current season.

Families moving to Henderson can get a team placement any time of year through a private audition. Call 702-897-5690 to ask about class prices and age groups.

First Visit Guide

What most dance studios expect. Confirm the details with Dance Zone before you go.

What to bring

  • Leggings or shorts with a fitted top, nothing your child can trip on
  • Bare feet or socks are fine for a trial. Don't buy ballet, tap, or jazz shoes until the studio tells you the exact style and color they want.
  • Hair pulled back, water bottle

Before you go

  • Ask about the dress code before you buy anything.
  • Come early for the waiver and to find the right studio room.
  • Ask how parents watch. Some studios have windows, some have lobby monitors, some are drop-off only.

The first visit

A trial class is normal: warm-up, moving across the floor, and a short routine. The recital and costume fees come months later. Ask when those decisions are due so nothing surprises you.

For sensory-sensitive kids

Mirrors, music, and a room full of kids is a lot at once. Ask if your child can watch a class first, and whether the studio runs smaller classes.
