About the Program
Vegas NOVA Volleyball is a club in southeast Las Vegas, between Patrick Lane and McCleod Drive, for players 12 years old up to 18. It started in 2020 and takes kids from beginner level up to competitive play, with Club Director Walter Tum, who lists over 15 years of coaching.
There are two team tracks. Local Teams play through NYS at 13U, 14U and 15U for both boys and girls. Travel Teams step up to U-15 Girls, U-16 Boys & Girls, U-17 Boys & Girls and U-18 Boys. Private Lessons are one on one, for a player who wants to fix a specific skill.
Getting on a team starts with tryouts. Tryouts cost $10, paid on location, and require online registration and a printed waiver. Before tryouts every athlete needs an AAU Membership; girls add a USA Volleyball (USAV) membership, and NYS registration covers boys and girls. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early and try out with your own age group so coaches can place your child fairly.
Tryout dates go up on the club's tryouts page. Ask the club about season fees, practice nights and travel costs.
