About the Program
School of Rock Las Vegas West is a music school at 9340 West Flamingo Road, Suite 117, at Flamingo and Fort Apache in Spring Valley. Kids learn guitar, drums, bass, keyboard or voice, and the whole program is built around playing in a band and getting on stage.
Programs step up by age. Little Wing (Ages 4 to 5) and Rookies (Ages 6 to 7) are weekly group classes where young kids try instruments and learn rhythm and song structure. Rock 101, for Ages 8 to 13, pairs a weekly private lesson with a weekly band rehearsal of simplified classic rock songs. Older kids move into the Performance Program (Ages 8 to 18), where students join a band with peers and every student plays live. This location's bands have played the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip and First Friday.
New students start with trial lessons so the staff can gauge skill and suggest a program. Ask about tuition during the trial. Ask whether this location runs camps or workshops during CCSD breaks.
