Winchester Cultural Center

Winchester Dondero Cultural Center is a Clark County arts center at 3130 McLeod Dr. in Las Vegas, near McLeod and Desert Inn. Families come for its theater, art gallery, classrooms, skate park and desert demonstration garden, all on one park site.

The center opened as a community center in 1982 and later became the only cultural center for Clark County. The Dondero name was added after a 2018 building expansion to honor the late Commissioner Thalia Dondero, who helped secure the 8.9-acre parcel. For kids and teens, the center lists teen programs, skateboarding and a Children's Festival, along with online class and event registration and a program brochure.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and the center is closed Sunday and Monday. If your child needs an accommodation for a class, the county asks families to contact the program site two weeks before the program starts. Shows in the theater are ticketed, so check the center's ticket page before you go. For current classes, call (702) 455-7340.
