Drama Kids of Las Vegas

Drama Kids of Las Vegas teaches weekly drama and acting classes from Kinder Kids at age 4 up through grades 6-12, with in-school classes held at CCSD and charter school campuses. If your child's school has no class, there are community classes in Summerlin and Centennial, or you can ask Drama Kids to start one at your school.

Groups go by age and grade: Kinder Kids for 4-5 years of age, Lower Primary for grades K-2, Upper Primary for grades 3-5, a Composite class for grades K-5 and a level for grades 6-12. A full year is 34 classes. The first stretch builds basic acting tools like body, voice and imagination, the middle block moves into improv, characters and stage projection, and the rest of the year is rehearsal for a spring performance.

Community classes for K to 5th grade meet at the Centennial Hills YMCA and at Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church in Summerlin. Both community classes list a $45 performance fee, charged on March 1, 2027, which covers admission to the show and an award for full-year students, with no costume fees.

Kids who want more stage time can add Take 2, which rehearses two hours one day a week and ends in a full production. No singing or dancing experience is needed, but a child must already be in a Creative Drama or Acting Academy class. Summer and holiday camps run seasonally, and the local program has been putting kids on stage since 2008.
