About the Program
Word of Life Christian Center on N. Buffalo Dr. in Las Vegas runs Kids Movin Up, a Sunday kids ministry with rooms for babies from 6 weeks old through 5th grade, plus LIV Youth for 6th to 12th graders. Services are Sundays at 10am and 6:30pm and Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
Kids Movin Up uses four rooms: Nursery/Toddlers for 6 weeks to 23 months, a room for 2- and 3-year-olds, Pre-K and Kindergarten for 4-year-olds through kindergarten, and Elementary for Grades 1 to 5. On your first visit you check in at your child's classroom. After that, families check in at the foyer kiosks and get matching stickers, and a child goes home only with the pick-up sticker.
LIV Youth meets Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays at 7pm. Middle schoolers have their own Sunday morning group, and on the 4th Sunday middle and high school meet together. On First Fridays the group gets together for games and food, sometimes at church and sometimes at a movie or a trampoline park.
In summer the church has run Next Gen: Summer Takeover, a free event on five Wednesday nights for 1st to 5th and 6th to 12th graders; ask whether it is planned for next summer.
