About the Program
Prince of Peace Catholic Church on East Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas runs faith formation for kids from 3rd grade up, a Confirmation program for high schoolers and a Friday youth group for grades 8 to 12.
First Holy Communion is open to children in 3rd grade and up. It is a two year program, and kids receive Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the second year. Confirmation is also two years and takes students who are in high school or about to start 9th grade. A teen in high school who was never baptized or hasn't made First Communion can join the combined Confirmation-First Communion Program instead.
The Youth Group meets Fridays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Room 12 and is open to 8th through 12th graders. Classes are in person.
Sacrament registration runs by school year, so call the Faith Formation Department at (702) 431-2233 ext.3 or use the enrollment form on the site to ask when the next one opens. Ask the parish office for the current class schedule. Weekend Masses are offered in English and Spanish, with a Saturday vigil at 4:00 PM in English.
