About the Program
Community Lutheran Church on East Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas runs Sunday School for kids from preschool through 5th grade, plus a youth group for middle and high school students.
Sunday School happens during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services. You sign your child in at the Welcome Desk in the Cross Roads each week, and kids start the service with their family before heading downstairs to Room 8 or Room 9. The hour mixes games, skits and science experiments with worship, and you pick your child up downstairs after the service. Babies and toddlers can stay in the nursery during those same two services, and there is a Family Room and a private nursing room.
Older kids have their own options. The youth group meets Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and a Middle School Sunday School meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 AM in Room 11. Sonshine Sunblast is the Wednesday night program for younger children, and First Communion classes run once a year for baptized kids in 3rd grade and up.
