Engaging Summer Camps - DISCOVERY Children's Museum LV

DISCOVERY Children's Museum runs week-long summer camps at its building at 360 Promenade Place in Las Vegas, with groups for ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 11. Museum educators lead the camps, and each week centers on one STEAM theme.

Camp themes have included Tinker with Tech, Grossology, Minecraft Madness, Robot Revolution, Once Upon a Stage, Astronomy All-Stars and DISCOVERY & Dragons. Each camp runs 9 am - 2 pm for the week. A week costs $325, or $305 for museum members, and an annual membership starts at $95 for an adult and a child, so families planning more than one week may want to compare.

Classrooms top out at 15 kids with at least two adult instructors. Lunch is not included, so send a nut-free lunch, snacks and a water bottle every day. Registration includes emergency contact, photo release and pickup authorization forms. Cancel 14 days or more before camp starts for a refund minus a $35 fee. The museum says it works to accommodate kids with special needs and asks families to reach out ahead of time.
