About the Program
Las Vegas Robotics Academy is a nonprofit robotics and coding school on S Durango Dr in the west valley (89145), near Summerlin. It teaches kids ages 6 to 16, mostly students in 2nd through 8th grade, and the 5 to 8 PM hours fit after school.
Students build and program robots with LEGO kits such as the EV3. There are three tracks: a coding and robot design class, a class that adds missions and challenges, and a tournament track for FIRST LEGO League, a team competition for ages 9 to 16. The school was co-founded by two local engineers, and one co-founder has coached FLL and FIRST Tech Challenge teams, which helps if your child wants to compete.
