About the Program
Nevada Climbing Center is an indoor climbing gym on East Patrick Lane in the southeast valley (89120). It has more than 25 top rope walls, 35+ lead routes, 6 auto belays and a bouldering area, and routes change every week. The gym recommends climbing for kids 6 and up.
The easiest way in for a beginner is the Intro to Climbing class: $55, a one-hour private lesson with rental gear included, capped at 4 people and starting at age 6. Ask whether the price is per person or per group. Lessons run Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the gym asks you to book 7 days ahead. Kids who get hooked can join the Youth Recreational Club, and competitive climbers can move up to the Competition Club once they are in the rec club. Climbers ready to lead climb can take Indoor Lead Climbing, $80 per person.
The gym is open every day, from 8:00am or 9:00am until 9:00pm or 10:00pm depending on the day. Scout groups are welcome, and groups of 10 or more need a reservation. Everyone signs a waiver, and parking is only in the marked green areas, so tell anyone dropping off.
