Western Town Playground

Western Town is the Old West play area inside Exploration Peak Park, a Clark County park of nearly 80 acres just south of the Mountain's Edge entrance in the Enterprise area of the southwest valley. Kids climb around building replicas and a covered wagon play structure, and the same Old West section has an Indian village with a web teepee climber and an archaeology dig site.

Beyond the themed area, the park has regular playground equipment, a water play area with spray jets, a horseshoe pit and an outdoor amphitheater. So far 24 acres are developed; the rest is open space and trails.

Families who want a hike can take the walking and bike trails up Exploration Peak, which stands 2,846 feet high, for views across Mountain's Edge and the Las Vegas Valley. In the summer heat, a morning or evening walk up the peak is easier on kids than midday. Picnic areas are first come, first served.
