About the Program
DISCOVERY Children's Museum fills three floors of the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center at 360 Promenade Place downtown. It is a nonprofit that has served the valley for more than 35 years with hands-on exhibits. Hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday noon to 5 PM. It is closed most Mondays but opens on Mondays during holidays and summer, winter and spring breaks.
Admission is $15 with a Nevada ID and $20 for out-of-town visitors, and everyone age 1 and up needs a ticket. Kids under 18 must come with an adult. Families with EBT, SNAP or WIC pay $5 a ticket for up to four people, and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District's Family Adventure Pass gets up to four people in free. Memberships start at $95 for one adult and one child.
The Summit exhibit is being rebuilt as Desert to the Stars, set to open in spring 2028.
Summer camps have run by the week from 9 AM to 2 PM for Ages 6 to 8 and Ages 9 to 11, at $325 a camp or $305 for members, with no more than 15 kids per room and at least two instructors; check the site for next summer's dates and prices. Campers bring their own lunch. On CCSD no-school Mondays, check the museum calendar before you go, since Monday openings follow holidays and school breaks.
