About the Program
Las Vegas Ice Center is a two-rink arena on West Flamingo Road in Spring Valley, with public skating, figure skating and a full youth hockey ladder under one roof.
For a first try, public skate is $15 with rental skates included and gives you 2 hours on the ice. Fall and winter sessions run Friday 7:30-9:30pm, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday 1:00PM-3:00PM. Walkers rent for $5, and a helmet and gloves are smart for little ones.
Kids who want lessons start in Learn to Skate. The Tots level takes children from 3 1/2 to 6 years old, and Beginner takes kids 6 and up. Classes are 30 minutes plus 10 minutes of practice ice, and beginner levels meet Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. A 6-week session is $135 for one class a week, $230 for two or $315 for three. Kids who want hockey must pass the Pre-Alpha level first, then can move into programs like Lil' Knights, NHL Learn to Play, Girls Learn to Play and the Youth House League.
Hockey players can add single Next Level classes, such as Power Skating at $35 for a 60-minute class or Try Goalie at $15 with all gear provided. Bring a bike helmet and winter gloves to lessons, and dress in layers.

First Visit Guide
What most play centers expect. Confirm the details with Las Vegas Ice Center before you go.
What to bring
- Grip socks. Trampoline parks and many play parks require them. They sell them at the desk, but the pair from home is cheaper the second time.
- Regular socks for everyone going into play structures
- Water bottle
Before you go
- Sign the waiver online. The walk-in waiver line eats your jump time.
- Check the age zones. Toddler areas are usually separate, which is a feature, not a bug.
- Weekday mornings are the quiet window. Summer afternoons, when the whole valley is hiding from the heat indoors, are the loud one.
The first visit
Sessions run on timed blocks, usually 60, 90, or 120 minutes with a wristband. Re-entry rules vary.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Several Las Vegas centers run sensory-friendly hours with the lights up and the music down. Ask. Weekday mornings are the fallback.
