About the Program
Desert Gymcats Gymnastics teaches kids from 6 months up at two Las Vegas gyms on Cimarron Road. They are the North Location at 950 S. Cimarron Rd. and the South Location at 2425 S. Cimarron Rd. Classes cover gymnastics, Trampoline & Tumbling, Ninja Cats and Cheer, from first timers up to competitive athletes. Stacy Carrero has owned the Las Vegas gym since 1998.
Babies from 6 months until they walk can come to the free Baby Gym on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. After that, preschool classes are split by age: Mini Kittens from walking to 2, Kittens for ages 2 to 3, Mini Cubs and Cubs for ages 3 to 4, Supercubs for ages 4 to 5 and Wildcats for ages 5 to 6. Kids over 6 move to the recreational program.
Trial classes are no-obligation. If it is not a fit, you pay nothing. If your child loves it, you pay for the trial plus the rest of the term. Terms are 8 weeks, you pick how many days a week, and joining mid-term is prorated. Ask the front desk at (702) 798-3547 for current tuition. Autopay takes $10 off each enrollment.
Ninja and cheer kids wear tennis shoes, and everyone else goes barefoot. Call 24 hours ahead for a missed class to get a make up token, limited to one a month.

First Visit Guide
What most gymnastics gyms expect. Confirm the details with Desert Gymcats Gymnastics before you go.
What to bring
- A leotard, or a fitted t-shirt with shorts or leggings. No buttons, zippers, snaps, or skirts.
- Bare feet, hair tied back, water bottle
- Leave jewelry at home.
Before you go
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for waivers.
- Most gyms keep street shoes off the floor, so easy slip-offs help.
- Ask where the parent viewing area is.
The first visit
Class runs in stations: bars, beam, floor, trampoline, with coaches rotating the groups. Classes group by age first, then skill, and you'll usually get a placement recommendation after class.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Gyms are big, loud, and busy to look at. Ask about weekday morning classes, and whether they run a quieter open play time. Several valley gyms do.
