About the Program
Desert Gymcats Flip 'N Twist is a Las Vegas gym for kids from 6 months up, with gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, Ninja Cats and cheer. It has two gyms on Cimarron Road: the South Location at 2425 S. Cimarron Rd. and the North Location at 950 S. Cimarron Rd. Stacy Carrero has owned the gym in Las Vegas since 1998.
The preschool ladder starts early. FREE Baby Gym is for babies from 6 months to walking and meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. From there, kids move up by age through Mini Kittens (walking to 2 years old), Kittens (2 to 3 years old), Mini Cubs and Cubs (3 to 4 years old), Supercubs (4 to 5 years old) and Wildcats (5 to 6 years old). Children over 6 go into the Recreational Program.
A first class is a no-obligation trial. If your child loves it, you pay for that class and the rest of the term; if not, it costs nothing. Tuition runs on an 8-week term, and you pick how many days a week to come. Joining mid-term is fine, since tuition is prorated. For current tuition, check the Schedule and Tuition page on the gym's site or call (702) 798-3547. Signing up for autopay takes $10 off each enrollment.
Kids go barefoot, except ninja and cheer students, who should bring tennis shoes. If you will miss a class, tell the front desk 24 hours ahead to get a make up token.

First Visit Guide
What most gymnastics gyms expect. Confirm the details with Desert Gymcats Flip 'N Twist before you go.
What to bring
- A leotard, or a fitted t-shirt with shorts or leggings. No buttons, zippers, snaps, or skirts.
- Bare feet, hair tied back, water bottle
- Leave jewelry at home.
Before you go
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for waivers.
- Most gyms keep street shoes off the floor, so easy slip-offs help.
- Ask where the parent viewing area is.
The first visit
Class runs in stations: bars, beam, floor, trampoline, with coaches rotating the groups. Classes group by age first, then skill, and you'll usually get a placement recommendation after class.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Gyms are big, loud, and busy to look at. Ask about weekday morning classes, and whether they run a quieter open play time. Several valley gyms do.
