About the Program
Aerial Athletica is an aerial and pole fitness studio on Rousso Road in southwest Las Vegas (89118) that also runs a kids program. Most of its regular classes are for ages 15 and up, and the kids classes are separate.
Kids have two main paths. The Kids Aerial Class uses silks, hammock and lyra (an aerial hoop) and meets Tuesday 5:15 to 6:15PM, Thursday 4:30 to 5:30PM and Friday 4 to 5PM. Rhythmic gymnastics is for ages 3 to 14, Monday through Saturday, with kids grouped by age and skill, and uses ribbon, hoop, ball, rope and clubs. Ask the studio for your child's rhythmic class time and placement. There is also a competitive rhythmic team, from level 3 up through level 8 and FIG junior, plus ballet and private stretching.
Kids aerial classes cost $38 for a drop-in, $320 for a 10 class pack that expires in 3 months, or $120 a month for one class a week. A 3 month auto-renewing plan lowers that to $96 a month for one class a week ($24 a class) or $180 a month for two ($22.50 a class).
A free first class is offered to local first-timers. Book at least 2 hrs ahead and cancel at least 6 hrs ahead. All sales are final and non-refundable.

First Visit Guide
What most gymnastics gyms expect. Confirm the details with Aerial Athletica & Rhythmic Gymnastics of Las Vegas before you go.
What to bring
- A leotard, or a fitted t-shirt with shorts or leggings. No buttons, zippers, snaps, or skirts.
- Bare feet, hair tied back, water bottle
- Leave jewelry at home.
Before you go
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for waivers.
- Most gyms keep street shoes off the floor, so easy slip-offs help.
- Ask where the parent viewing area is.
The first visit
Class runs in stations: bars, beam, floor, trampoline, with coaches rotating the groups. Classes group by age first, then skill, and you'll usually get a placement recommendation after class.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Gyms are big, loud, and busy to look at. Ask about weekday morning classes, and whether they run a quieter open play time. Several valley gyms do.
