First Visit Guide

What most junior golf programs expect. Confirm the details with Las Vegas's Jr Golf Foundation before you go.

What to bring

Sneakers. Juniors don't need golf shoes to start.
Hat, sunscreen, water
Clubs only if you own junior-length ones. Programs and ranges usually lend junior sets, so ask first.

Before you go

Check the dress code. Some courses still want a collared shirt, even on juniors.
In the cooler months when everyone remembers golf exists, book range and clinic times ahead.

The first visit

Junior clinics start on the range with grip and stance, then short game. Kids don't play actual holes for a while, and that's normal.

For sensory-sensitive kids

Golf is quiet, spread out, and moves at your own pace, which makes it a genuinely good landing spot for kids who find team sports loud. Early morning tee times are the calmest.
