About the Program
Gretsch Golf Academy is an indoor golf center on Dean Martin Drive, just off I-15, with junior lessons for ages 6 to 17 and a Junior Academy for beginners through competitive players. PGA Professional Tilly Gretsch leads it, and it is open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 9 PM, so the Las Vegas heat and wind never cancel a session.
Every junior starts with a placement before joining a track. Sage Lizards, the beginner group, meets once a week. Desert Roadrunners trains twice a week and suits kids who are starting to play tournaments, and Mountain Lions, the elite track, trains three times a week with tournament prep. Private lessons run 60 minutes. A lesson 6-pack costs $550 with Chris Leppard, who often coaches juniors, $840 with Alec Sailer or $1100 with Tilly Gretsch, and packs expire 3 months after purchase.
Juniors get 10% off memberships, so the Par plan with 5 hours of bay time drops from $250 to $225 a month, and a family bundle takes another 10% off extra household memberships when one adult pays full price. Kids can rent U.S. Kids clubs in several sizes. Spiked shoes are not allowed, and lessons need 24 hours notice to cancel without a fee. Parents can wait in the lounge while juniors train.

First Visit Guide
What most junior golf programs expect. Confirm the details with Gretsch Golf Academy before you go.
What to bring
- Sneakers. Juniors don't need golf shoes to start.
- Hat, sunscreen, water
- Clubs only if you own junior-length ones. Programs and ranges usually lend junior sets, so ask first.
Before you go
- Check the dress code. Some courses still want a collared shirt, even on juniors.
- In the cooler months when everyone remembers golf exists, book range and clinic times ahead.
The first visit
Junior clinics start on the range with grip and stance, then short game. Kids don't play actual holes for a while, and that's normal.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Golf is quiet, spread out, and moves at your own pace, which makes it a genuinely good landing spot for kids who find team sports loud. Early morning tee times are the calmest.
