About the Program
The Angel Park Golf Academy is the teaching side of Angel Park Golf Club at 100 South Rampart Blvd, on the Summerlin side of town. It has been running since 2004 and offers private lessons, group lessons, putting and short game clinics, and junior golf summer camps.
For a child, the instructor matters more than the menu. Chris Donielson, PGA, has 18 years of college coaching behind him and says he especially likes working with juniors and beginners. Darrell Taylor, PGA, has taught golfers of all ages for over 30 years and was named the 2013 PGA Junior Golf Leader. Jun Oshimoto takes a sports science approach. Each one books his own students, so call the one who fits: Chris at 210.385.9914 or Darrell at 702.250.7644.
Lessons happen at eight shaded hitting stations with a putting and chipping green and a swing analyzer. Ask the instructor you pick about lesson and camp prices. Practice between lessons is cheap: a small bucket at the range is $5.00 and a large bucket of 100 balls is $13.00. The range is lit, with the last bucket sold at 8:00pm, which helps on hot summer days when evening practice is the only comfortable option.

First Visit Guide
What most junior golf programs expect. Confirm the details with Angel Park Golf Academy - Las Vegas before you go.
What to bring
- Sneakers. Juniors don't need golf shoes to start.
- Hat, sunscreen, water
- Clubs only if you own junior-length ones. Programs and ranges usually lend junior sets, so ask first.
Before you go
- Check the dress code. Some courses still want a collared shirt, even on juniors.
- In the cooler months when everyone remembers golf exists, book range and clinic times ahead.
The first visit
Junior clinics start on the range with grip and stance, then short game. Kids don't play actual holes for a while, and that's normal.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Golf is quiet, spread out, and moves at your own pace, which makes it a genuinely good landing spot for kids who find team sports loud. Early morning tee times are the calmest.
