About the Program
Jordance Studios is a ballet and Latin dance studio on West Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, with kids classes that start at ages 3 to 4 and run up through advanced Ballet 5 and 6 for ages 14 and up.
The ballet track is laid out by age. Rhythmic Immersion is for ages 3 to 4 with no experience needed, primary ballet is for ages 5 to 6, Pre-Ballet starts at 7 and Ballet I at 8. Ballet 3 is for ages 10 and up with 3 or more years of ballet, and dancers need at least three technique classes a week before they go on pointe. Ballet 5 and 6 is for ages 14 and up with instructor approval and at least four technique classes a week. Acro and Conditioning 1 opens at age 6 for kids already in the full ballet schedule.
Kids can also take salsa, and contemporary opens once a dancer reaches Ballet II. Youth Salsa 1 takes beginners, and the higher levels ask for 1 or 2 years of salsa, with an audition team called Jorprime after Level 3. Dancers perform in a Spring Showcase and The Nutcracker with a Latin Twist.
Classes run Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The first kids lesson comes with a full refund if it is not a fit. Prices come by email after you fill out the studio's form, or call (702) 240 5040.
