About the Program
Impact Basketball is a training gym at 4640 West Sunset Rd, Suite 100, in the southwest valley, where NBA players spend their off-season. For kids, the piece that matters is the youth summer camp, built for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 who are serious about the game. Campers come for one to four weeks.
A camp day starts at 9:00 am with stretching and ball handling, moves to skill work with coaches at 10:00 am, then a nutrition talk and lunch at 12:00 pm, when campers can watch pro workouts. Strength and conditioning starts at 1:30 pm, competitive play at 2:30 pm, and the day wraps at 4:00 pm. Instruction happens in small groups. Families from out of town can choose staff-supervised boarding or a partner hotel.
This is intense, so be honest with yourself about whether your child wants that. The FAQ also says youth training starts around 12 years old, and that camps run Monday to Friday each week starting in April for ages 12 to 18, which is a bit different from the camp page, so ask which ages fit before you book. Impact asks families to contact them for prices, since costs vary by program and length.
Older players can look at Impact Academy, a post grad and high school program with academic support and a recruiting advisor. Call (725) 255-7000.

First Visit Guide
What most youth sports programs expect. Confirm the details with Impact Basketball before you go.
What to bring
- Water, and then more water. In this valley the heat decides practice more than the coach does from May through September.
- Athletic clothes, sunscreen, and a hat for outdoor fields
- Sport basics if you own them. Lots of intro programs lend gear for trials, so ask before buying.
Before you go
- Confirm the exact field or court. The big parks have a dozen and the 215 traffic doesn't forgive a wrong guess.
- Summer schedules shift to early evening for the heat. Check the seasonal calendar.
- Day one usually has paperwork and team assignment, so come early.
The first visit
Expect drills and small-sided play. Leagues group by birth year. Before you commit, ask how many practices there are per game and where the games actually get played, because home field can mean Henderson one week and North Las Vegas the next.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Whistles and sideline noise are the hard part. Ask about clinic-style sessions that are skills only, with no game crowd, as a first step.
