About the Program
Road Dawgs Baseball Academy is a year-round indoor baseball and softball training center in the Red Feather Shopping Center at Cheyenne and Decatur in Las Vegas, with club teams for 8u to 14u. Families come for batting cage time, private lessons and those teams.
One cage costs $15 for 30 minutes or $25 for an hour, and two cages run $45 for an hour. Kids who hit often can join the unlimited membership at $80 a month per person, which reserves 30 minutes a day. It cannot be used weekdays from 5:30 to 8:30 PM or for team practice, and each extra family member gets 50% off. A guest who comes along with a member pays $5 per visit, and members get free cage time on their birthday.
Private lessons cover hitting, pitching, catching and defense for both baseball and softball; call or email to book. Coaches can bring a team in for a team lesson at $20 per player for an hour, with at least 4 players, and a one-time player evaluation costs $40. The club program is called Nevada Road Dawgs.
Posted hours are Monday through Friday from 3 to 9 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 12 to 5 PM, and holiday and summer hours can change, so call before you go. Cage time, lessons, camps, clinics and showcases are not refundable, and service members can ask about discounted rates.

First Visit Guide
What most youth sports programs expect. Confirm the details with Road Dawgs Baseball Academy before you go.
What to bring
- Water, and then more water. In this valley the heat decides practice more than the coach does from May through September.
- Athletic clothes, sunscreen, and a hat for outdoor fields
- Sport basics if you own them. Lots of intro programs lend gear for trials, so ask before buying.
Before you go
- Confirm the exact field or court. The big parks have a dozen and the 215 traffic doesn't forgive a wrong guess.
- Summer schedules shift to early evening for the heat. Check the seasonal calendar.
- Day one usually has paperwork and team assignment, so come early.
The first visit
Expect drills and small-sided play. Leagues group by birth year. Before you commit, ask how many practices there are per game and where the games actually get played, because home field can mean Henderson one week and North Las Vegas the next.
For sensory-sensitive kids
Whistles and sideline noise are the hard part. Ask about clinic-style sessions that are skills only, with no game crowd, as a first step.
