Las Vegas Outdoor Fun Rentals rents ATVs and UTVs for riding the Nellis Dunes, with trails that start right from the property. It is a family outing more than a kids' activity, and the age rules shape who can do what.
The person renting has to be 18+ with a valid ID and a credit or debit card, and every minor needs a parent or legal guardian along. Drivers must be 16+. Kids Ages 4 and up can ride as passengers in a UTV, and you bring a car seat if your child needs one. ATVs are single-seat, so kids under 16 ride as passengers in a UTV. UTVs need at least two people, and the company does not seat strangers in your vehicle. The UTVs are the easier drive, and there is beginner and advanced terrain.
Rentals start at $75. Booking is online only, and your card is charged when you book. Email at least 72 hours ahead to cancel for a refund. Check-in runs 9 AM to 3 PM from September to May, and 8 to 11 AM from June to August, so summer rides are morning only.
Wear closed-toe shoes, not sandals, flip flops or Crocs, and skip skirts or loose clothes on an ATV. Rides happen rain or shine, there is no shuttle, and they are open every day but Christmas. Nevada Day, the last Friday in October, is a no-school day that works well for a family ride.
