About the Program
Nuwu Art Gallery + Community Center on S. Maryland Pkwy in Las Vegas is a gallery in the purple building, run by Southern Paiute artist Fawn Douglas and her partner A.B. Wilkinson.
The open gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 4 pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 12 pm to 4 pm. Shows focus on Native American, Indigenous Latin American and other community artists, and the artists in its studios draw, paint, sculpt, weave and tell stories. It has hosted a Native Youth Art Exhibition with the Clark County School District, featuring student artists from 12 tribes.
