Henderson Hot Rod Days is a free car show along Water Street and Water Street Plaza in downtown Henderson, held over the first Friday and Saturday of October. The City of Henderson puts it on with the Boulder City Cruisin' Association, and the street fills with hundreds of classic, custom and muscle cars, plus trucks and motorcycles.
For kids who love cars, it's an easy, free outing: walk the rows, let them pick a favorite, and stay for the live music on the mainstage. There are more than 35 vendors along the street, Car Show Bingo, and the show wraps up with a car show awards presentation. Kids under 16 need to be with a parent or guardian, and the city suggests snapping a photo of your little ones on your phone when you arrive, which is a smart habit in any big crowd.
Parking is the hard part. There are two garages on Water Street and no shuttle, so carpool, rideshare or walk over if you live nearby. Leave the scooters, skateboards and pop-up tents at home, since they aren't allowed on the grounds, and bring hats and water for an outdoor afternoon in Henderson.
Dates, prices and rules come from the organizer and change every year, so check the official site before you go. PlayPivot is an independent family guide and is not affiliated with City of Henderson and the Boulder City Cruisin' Association. Last updated Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
