About the Program

Dinosaur Outpost is an indoor dinosaur attraction in Town Square, Las Vegas, where kids of all ages walk among life-size animatronic dinosaurs, an erupting volcano and hands-on exhibits. It is a play-and-touch space, not a museum, and minors must stay with an adult the whole visit.

Anyone 36" or taller needs a ticket, adults included; children under 36" get in free. The Prehistoric Pass is $24 per person at the locals rate, the Dino-Mite Dozen Pass is $220 for 12 tickets, and an Annual Pass is $365 for 2 guests with 5% off in the retail store. Annie, the Pachyrhinosaurus ride, has a 250 lb. combined weight maximum, and the Outpost Explorer Vehicles take riders 36" to 48" tall.

The doors close at 5:00PM Mon-Fri and 6:00PM Sat-Sun, and most families stay 90 minutes to 2 hours. A wristband gives all-day re-entry. Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days, so a weekday afternoon is the calmer pick for a child who is sensitive to noise or crowds.

Every visitor, infants too, needs a waiver, and filling it out online first saves time at check-in. The venue is cashless. Pack socks for the soft play area and shoes for everywhere else. You can bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, but food stays in the café space. Park free in the lots on the west side of Town Square near Sunset and Windy Road.

First Visit Guide

What most play centers expect. Confirm the details with Dinosaur Outpost before you go.

What to bring

  • Grip socks. Trampoline parks and many play parks require them. They sell them at the desk, but the pair from home is cheaper the second time.
  • Regular socks for everyone going into play structures
  • Water bottle

Before you go

  • Sign the waiver online. The walk-in waiver line eats your jump time.
  • Check the age zones. Toddler areas are usually separate, which is a feature, not a bug.
  • Weekday mornings are the quiet window. Summer afternoons, when the whole valley is hiding from the heat indoors, are the loud one.

The first visit

Sessions run on timed blocks, usually 60, 90, or 120 minutes with a wristband. Re-entry rules vary.

For sensory-sensitive kids

Several Las Vegas centers run sensory-friendly hours with the lights up and the music down. Ask. Weekday mornings are the fallback.
