About the Program
St. Thomas More Catholic Community is a parish on North Pecos Road in Henderson with faith formation classes for kids from kindergarten through high school, plus Little Kingdom for the youngest children. Classes follow the sacraments: 2nd graders can be in a first year class or in Sacrament Prep for First Communion, and kids in 3rd through 8th grade are placed by whether they have received First Communion yet.
For older kids, More Youth is a middle school youth group that meets Thursdays at 5 pm, open to students who have made their First Communion. High schoolers take a two year Confirmation class and can join Life Teen, the high school youth ministry, which also has leadership roles.
The parish offers SPED classes for children with special needs or anyone who needs accommodations, and a Home Catechesis option that meets once a month with parent and child together. Children 7 or older who are not baptized follow the two-year Becoming Catholic process: the first year in a regular class with their age group, and the second year in Sunday-only classes, with a separate class for parents at the same time.
