About the Program
Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wigwam Parkway in Henderson holds Sunday school for children from three-year-olds through 8th graders. The church sits about 1/2 mile north of Valle Verde and the I-215.
Sunday worship starts at 9:30 AM. Kids stay for the Good News for Kids part of the service, then leave for an hour of Bible stories, lessons and singing, while parents can join the adult Bible study in the Fellowship Hall. If a toddler gets restless during worship, a nursery on the right side of the sanctuary has a window so you can still watch the service. Coffee, juice and baked goods are set out after each service.
For middle schoolers, catechism classes for 7th and 8th graders meet Tuesdays at 3:30 pm and lead toward confirmation. Call the church at 702-454-8979 to ask about enrolling for this school year. The church also runs a preschool that has grown to include an elementary division.
The building and its parking are wheelchair accessible, and ushers keep large print copies of the service.
