Pecos Legacy Park

Pecos Legacy Park is a City of Henderson neighborhood park at 150 Pecos Rd in the 89014 zip, open 6 am to 10 pm. The city lists a playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a ball field, horseshoe pits, an open grass area, picnic shelters and tables, barbecues, restrooms and trail connectivity, so it works as a free after school stop for shooting hoops or a weekend picnic with a game of catch.

It is a park, not a program: there are no classes, leagues or staff here, and anything organized on the ball field comes from outside leagues that reserve it through the city's park reservation system, which the page links to. The picnic shelters are also reservable for birthday parties.

One thing to know for 2025 and beyond: the city's water conservation plan removed about 16,500 square feet of turf here, so expect less open grass than older photos show. The tennis courts are listed as a separate city category, so they are a real feature rather than a repurposed slab.
