Downtown Recreation Center is a City of Henderson facility at 50 Van Wagenen Street, steps from Henderson City Hall and next to Downtown Park. What it actually has: a gymnasium, a game room with a pool table, foosball, table tennis, arcade games and cable TV, pickleball and racquetball or wallyball courts, an elevated indoor walking and jogging track, a warm up and fitness area, and showers. There is no pool or climbing wall at this location, so if that is what your kids want, Black Mountain Recreation Center has the seasonal aquatic complex. Open gym times are posted on a monthly gym calendar, and youth programs and classes register through the city's online system.
