About the Program
Code Central is a kids coding center in Henderson, at Horizon Ridge and Eastern Ave, with programs for Ages 7 to 17. Students work through self-paced projects in game design, Python, web and app building, electronics, cyber security, VEX robotics and LEGO Technic. Younger kids start with Scratch and block coding, and older students move to tools like Godot and Arduino.
The first step is a free 30-minute session, one on one with an instructor, which also gauges your child's level. After that, families pick a membership. Basic is $179 per month for 1 hour per week in a small group at a 4:1 ratio. Premium is $259 per month for 2 hours per week. Private is $279 per month for 1 hour per week of one-on-one teaching, which also opens up Minecraft Modding and 3D Modeling. Basic is meant for kids age 7+ who can read and use a computer on their own.
The center is open Tuesday to Thursday 3 pm - 7 pm, Saturday 10 am - 3 pm and Sunday 11 am - 3 pm. Single days at the Tech Day Camp cost $99 each, with pizza included. Summer weeks run 9 AM - 3 PM at $549, or $449 for members.
Code Central accepts Acumen funding for families of kids with disabilities, and it offers sibling and military discounts. Memberships need 30-day notice to cancel.
