Mastering Mindsets

Mastering Mindsets is a youth program based at 5892 Losee Rd Ste 132 in North Las Vegas that serves kids ages 5 to 17, with a focus on kids in underserved communities. It runs afterschool and summer school enrichment for students in grades K-12.

The academic side covers Reading comprehension, Math reasoning, Creative writing and S.T.E.A.M. Exploration through hands-on projects. High school students can get tutoring plus help with College applications, Essay writing and Scholarship funding. For older kids thinking about jobs, there are panel presentations with people from different industries, field trips, internships and entrepreneurship workshops.

Mentoring runs through a few formats: Matched Mentorship with one mentor, Group Mentorship Workshops, and Peer Mentorship / Mentorship Circles. The focus there is on communication, teamwork and a growth mindset.

To sign up, a parent fills out the online registration form. A signed Code of Conduct and a signed Liability Waiver are required before a child takes part; the photo release is optional, and saying no does not keep your child out of activities.
