About the Program

Gold Rush Wrestling Academy is a youth wrestling club on W Oakey Blvd in Las Vegas, led by coach Chase Pami, with classes that start at ages 3 and 4 and run through high school.

The class ladder starts with Tiny Miners for kids 3 and 4, a 40-minute class once a week that builds gymnastics-based body control and simple wrestling commands. Prospectors, for ages 5 to 7, meets once or twice a week for an hour and is the first class where kids wrestle each other. Kids 8 to 12 with up to a year of experience start in the Level 1 or Level 2 class, and the two levels differ in time commitment and interest in competing. The Level 3 and Elite Black groups need 2 or more years of experience, and the high school class takes both boys and girls.

The gym is open Monday to Friday from 4 to 8 PM. To join, fill out the prospective member form, and the club will reach out within 48 hours to confirm a spot before the first class. A separate drop-in form covers one-time visits. Ask about tuition when they call.

Every athlete needs a USA Wrestling card, which serves as secondary insurance. Wrestling shoes are recommended but not required, and tournaments are optional. Arrive 15 minutes early the first time, and parents are asked not to coach from behind the wall.
