About the Program
The playground at Downtown Container Park is inside the open-air shopping center at the corner of Fremont Street and S. 7th Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The Treehouse play structure, the playground and the Pixel Room are free to use, though special events can close them or add an entrance fee.
Kids can stay until 9 PM; after that the park is 21 and over, and anyone under 18 needs a legal guardian with them. Strollers are not allowed in the Tree House play area, so plan to leave yours at the edge. In extreme weather the park may close the Treehouse slide, which is worth remembering on a hot Las Vegas summer afternoon.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed, but the center has restaurants and bars, and the main stage hosts free concerts and movies. There is no on-site parking. The Container Park lot across the street at 118 S. 7th Street charges $3 an hour with a 5 hour cap. Shops open at 11:30 AM Monday to Thursday and 11 AM Friday to Sunday. Around sunset Wednesday to Sunday, the Mantis fire show starts with a drum circle. The park is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
