About the Program
Big Shot is the thrill ride on the tower at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower on Las Vegas Blvd, and for kids the rule that decides it is height: riders must be at least 48 inches tall. Anyone 15 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The ride straps in 16 people on the 921-foot platform and fires them up the tower's mast to 1,081 feet, a 160-foot climb at 45 miles per hour, then drops and launches again. The STRAT does not recommend it for guests with physical, mental or medical limitations, so think about how your child handles heights and strong motion before you buy.
Tickets start at $33.95 for one thrill ride with tower admission, or $43.95 for an unlimited ride pass with tower admission. Nevada locals and military guests can ask about discounts at the box office. Rides run from 2 to 10 PM, the posted hours list closures on Tuesday and Wednesday, and everything depends on the weather, so check before you drive to the Strip. Call 702.380.7777 for tickets.
