About the Program
City Lights Music Together runs grown-up-and-child music classes for babies through age 5 in Summerlin, Henderson and Las Vegas, plus Rhythm Kids for older kids starting at age 4. Classes run six days a week across the studio's locations; one is Temple Beth Sholom in Summerlin, and Las Vegas families can use Jordance Studio. In Henderson, they meet at Midbar Kodesh as well as at Legacy Dance.
The core class is Mixed Age (0-5 years). Babies, toddlers and preschoolers come together with a parent or caregiver for 45 minutes of singing, movement and simple instruments, and families take home the songbook and music to use all week. Newborns can start in Babies Only, a separate class for babies up to 8 or 9 months. Rhythm Kids is the class for older kids, with an optional djembe drum.
Tuition for the current session is posted on the studio's tuition page, with separate prices for Mixed Age, Babies Only and Rhythm Kids and lower rates for siblings. Mixed Age tuition covers 9 Weeks of Classes, and babies under 9 months come free with an enrolled sibling. Buying the djembe drum for Rhythm Kids is optional, and new families also pay a one-time fee.
Try a free demo first (one per family). Missed classes are not refunded, though you can book a makeup online, and withdrawing before the session starts costs a $25 administrative fee. Register infant siblings too, since the studio counts every child.

How this program accommodates different needs
Based on the provider's published information. Confirm the specifics for your child before enrolling.
First Visit Guide
What most music schools expect. Confirm the details with City Lights Music Together before you go.
What to bring
- The instrument if you already own one. Studios keep pianos and drum kits on site, so ask what's covered.
- Any music books from earlier lessons
- A notebook for practice notes
Before you go
- Don't buy an instrument before lesson one. Teachers meet your child first, then tell you whether to rent or buy and what size.
- Ask about the makeup and cancellation policy. It varies a lot between studios.
The first visit
The first lesson is a meet-and-play. The teacher checks interest, ear, and attention span, then suggests a lesson length. Thirty minutes is normal for young beginners.
For sensory-sensitive kids
One-on-one lessons are naturally calm. If volume worries you with drums or brass, ask about headphones or electronic versions.
