About the Program
Renewing Life Center is a nonprofit Christian counseling center in Las Vegas that offers child and teen therapy along with family, couples and individual counseling, plus parenting classes. It has two offices, one on East Warm Springs Road in the southeast valley and one on Box Canyon Drive in the northwest, and sessions can also be held online or by phone.
For kids, therapists work on anxiety, depression, friendship problems, school stress and behavior, and the center also does child assessments. Families who are not Christian are welcome.
Cost runs on a sliding scale by household income, from $100 to $160 per session, or $180 per session with a clinical psychologist. If that is still too much, graduate interns see clients at lower rates, so ask the front desk. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a charge.
Parents can also take The Joy of Parenting, a 4 week course that costs $175 per family, or $199 per family with the capstone. The four week group taught by Yuliana Nelson, PhD takes only six families at a time. Call (702) 434-7290 to book.
