About the Program

Skate Rock City is a roller rink on Boulder Hwy in the east valley (89121), with a maple skating floor, a snack bar and a pro shop. It runs public sessions for all ages, a teen night, lessons and birthday parties, plus adult-only nights.

General admission is $15 and rental skates are $5, in sizes from toddler 8c up to men's 13. Bigger groups can buy Open Skate bundles, 4 for $45 or 6 for $65, and teens get $5 off Teen Night with a school ID. For a new skater, group lessons cost $25 and run Thursdays from 4:45 to 6:15 PM and Saturdays from 9:45 to 11:15 AM, and walk-ups are welcome. Private lessons are $50.

Birthday rooms start at $350 and include skating, food and a party host. Outside food is not allowed unless it is part of a party. Session times change week to week, and some nights are adults only or closed for private events, so check the calendar on the site before you load up the car.

First Visit Guide

What most play centers expect. Confirm the details with Skate Rock City before you go.

What to bring

  • Grip socks. Trampoline parks and many play parks require them. They sell them at the desk, but the pair from home is cheaper the second time.
  • Regular socks for everyone going into play structures
  • Water bottle

Before you go

  • Sign the waiver online. The walk-in waiver line eats your jump time.
  • Check the age zones. Toddler areas are usually separate, which is a feature, not a bug.
  • Weekday mornings are the quiet window. Summer afternoons, when the whole valley is hiding from the heat indoors, are the loud one.

The first visit

Sessions run on timed blocks, usually 60, 90, or 120 minutes with a wristband. Re-entry rules vary.

For sensory-sensitive kids

Several Las Vegas centers run sensory-friendly hours with the lights up and the music down. Ask. Weekday mornings are the fallback.
