Clawtopia, formerly Doll Warrior Claw, is a claw machine arcade on the 2nd floor of Shanghai Plaza in Chinatown, on Spring Mountain Rd near Decatur Blvd (89102). It is a short, cheap outing for kids who love plush toys and anime figures.
Every token costs $1.00, and every plushie machine takes just 1 token, so it is easy to hand a child a set number of tokens and stick to a budget. If your child wins a few small prizes, the arcade lets players trade up smaller wins for a bigger one, which can stretch a visit. Prizes rotate, with plush toys, anime figures and collectibles.
Hours are 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM Friday through Sunday. Look for Shanghai Plaza across from 99 Ranch Market; the Spring Mountain Rd entrance near Decatur is the easiest way in, and the arcade is upstairs. Pair it with lunch in the plaza on a CCSD day off.
