About the Program
Las Vegas Taekwon-Do on Windmill Parkway in Henderson has taught Taekwon-Do since 1986, with kids classes starting at ages 4 to 6. Little Tigers is the youngest group, and from age 6 children join the Family Class, where a parent can train on the same mat.
Little Tigers sessions are shorter and work on flexibility, balance, coordination, and how to roll and flip. The Family Class runs Monday to Thursday at 4:00 and again at 5:45 PM, Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, which gives working parents a weekend option. Teens 13 and up have their own class, and private or special needs lessons for all ages are set up on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 3:45 PM by calling (702) 900-1230.
One cost to plan for: sparring starts once a student reaches Yellow Stripe belt, and students then buy their own sparring gear. The school holds an End of the Month Tournament in patterns and sparring for its own students, while regional and national events are optional and may cost extra.
Grand Master Joseph Bosse, a 9th Dan with the USTF, owns the school. The first class is a free trial.
