About the Program
TickTalk Therapy is a pediatric therapy practice on St. Rose Parkway in Henderson that works with children from birth to 21. Lana Fedyushkina, a speech-language pathologist and lactation consultant, started it in 2011, and the team covers speech, feeding and occupational therapy, plus orofacial myofunctional therapy.
The infant team does feeding and occupational therapy from birth, lactation support, Tummy Time Method classes and infant massage classes for parents.
There are weekly groups too. Reading Groups meet Tuesdays at 4:00 PM for $30 per group and work on early reading and phonological awareness. A handwriting group run by the occupational therapists follows on Tuesdays at 4:30 PM. Summer Speech Groups for articulation run only while school is out, and new patients need a copy of their IEP.
The practice takes many plans, including Nevada Medicaid, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna and Tricare West. Many plans need a pediatrician referral, so ask your doctor for one early. If your plan isn't accepted, payment is due at each visit and there is a private pay discount. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is taking new patients.

Special Needs Support
How this program accommodates different needs
Based on the provider's published information. Confirm the specifics for your child before enrolling.
First Visit Guide
What most pediatric therapy clinics expect. Confirm the details with TickTalk Therapy before you go.
What to bring
- The referral or prescription if your doctor wrote one
- Insurance card
- Copies of past evaluations from school, the pediatrician, or specialists. Copies in hand can save you weeks.
- A comfort item for your child and snacks for the waiting room
Before you go
- Call your insurance and ask about coverage and whether an authorization is needed. This is the number one cause of delays, so get it moving early.
- Ask about the waitlist for evaluations versus ongoing sessions. They're different lists.
- If the clinic emails intake paperwork, finish it before you arrive.
The first visit
The first visit is an evaluation, not a therapy session. Expect observation, play-based tasks, and a long parent conversation, then a written plan with goals. Ask how parents stay involved between sessions.
For sensory-sensitive kids
These clinics are built around kids who need them, and most will happily give you a photo tour or a walk-through beforehand so evaluation day isn't your child's first time seeing the room. Take them up on it.
