Mothers Choice Midwifery

Mothers Choice Midwifery is a Henderson midwifery practice run by Tiffanie Gonzales, CPM, for expecting parents who want prenatal care, birth preparation and postpartum support, including home birth. The office is on W. Warm Spring Rd. in Suite 136.

Gonzales describes a long path into the work. She began as a doula in 2007, earned a Midwifery Assistant Certification at The Farm in Tennessee in 2009 under Ina May Gaskin, and says she became a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) in 2012. She has also completed lactation counselor training, which helps once the baby arrives.

Care follows the Midwifery Model of Care, and she says she coordinates with physicians, educators, therapists and support groups when a client needs more help. If you have older kids, note that she welcomes family-centered births with children in the room.

Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Monday and Friday visits only as needed, and the office is closed on weekends.
