About the Program
Clark County Museum is a free county history museum at 1830 S. Boulder Highway in Henderson, on a 30-acre site that pairs an indoor exhibit hall with a street of restored historic buildings.
Inside the Anna Robert Parks Exhibit Hall, a timeline runs from the Ice Age to the Age of Entertainment, covering the ancient Pueblo and Paiute peoples, the first Anglo pioneers, mining and the gaming history of Las Vegas. Outside, Heritage Street has restored homes that show daily life in different decades in Las Vegas, Boulder City and Henderson, along with a replica 1900s newspaper print shop. Train fans can see the 1932 Boulder City Depot and a 1918 Union Pacific steam engine, and there is a Ghost Town and Mining Trail to walk.
Admission is free, and the museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Groups should call (702) 455-7955 to book a tour and ask about group rates. If you want to take photos, check the museum's photography rules to see whether you need a permit. Heritage Street means time outdoors, so in the summer heat go early.
