Henderson Safekey

Henderson Safekey is a city-run childcare program based at South Water Street in Henderson, zip code 89015. It serves kids ages 5 to 12 with before school care, after school care, summer day camp, recreational activities, homework help, and social activities, which covers both the school-year routine and the summer break within one program.

Activities take place in supervised settings that include both indoor facilities and outdoor play areas, and the program includes structured homework help as part of the after-school block, which can matter for parents who want more than just supervision during those hours.

Hours run 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the program is closed on Saturday and Sunday. That wide daily window covers early drop-off before school and late pickup after a full work day, and it also supports full-day coverage during the summer camp portion of the program. Safekey operates year-round rather than only during summer, which is what allows it to shift from before and after school care during the school year into full-day summer camp once school lets out.

Pricing sits in the mid-range tier based on the listed price range, though the specific weekly rate is not included in this record, so parents should check current fees through the City of Henderson's registration system before enrolling. For questions or to register, the program can be reached at (702) 267-4100, and online registration is available through cityofhenderson.com under parks and recreation.

Instruction and supervision are in English. Because Safekey covers before school, after school, and summer day camp under a single enrollment, it functions as a year-round childcare solution for working parents in Henderson rather than a single-season activity, and the homework help component sets it apart from programs that are purely recreational.
