Questions parents ask
Where can I get a free car seat check in Las Vegas?
Car seat check events are listed above as they get posted, and the Last year section shows the groups that run them. Some groups check seats by appointment, so call ahead.
What is a bike rodeo?
A free event where kids ride a small course to practice hand signals, stopping and helmet fit. Police departments, schools and bike groups often host them.
What is a kids ID event?
An event where parents get an ID card or kit for their child, often with a photo and fingerprints, to keep at home in case the child is ever lost. Ask the host what, if anything, they keep.
When is National Night Out in Las Vegas?
In Southern Nevada it is the first Tuesday of October, not August as in most of the country. Police departments across the valley hold free neighborhood events that evening.
