About the Program
Lion Habitat Ranch is a nonprofit animal sanctuary in Henderson where one child ages 4 to 14 gets in free with each adult ticket, and kids 3 and under are free. It sits near the M Resort off St. Rose and Bermuda.
The ranch cares for lions, parrots, tortoises, ostriches and emus, and many of the animals came in as rescues or pet surrenders. Visits are self-guided, with keepers posted around the grounds to talk with guests, and the full loop is less than half a mile.
Adults pay $25.00 with out-of-state pricing or $20.00 with local pricing. Extra children cost $8.00 with a local ticket or $10.00 with a non-resident adult ticket, and seniors, college students, military, fire and police pay $18.00 with ID. Add-ons include a Tortoise Encounter for ages 8 and up, booked in the gift shop that day, and lion feedings at $100 per person per pound of food, with no direct contact.
Hours shift by season. Summer hours are Thursday to Tuesday, 10am to 2pm, and winter hours are 11am to 3pm, with last admission an hour before closing. The ranch is closed to the public on Wednesdays, and one line of its FAQ says Tuesdays too, so check the ranch's Google listing before a Tuesday visit. The ranch is outdoors, with shaded and misted spots and an indoor gift shop, and heavy rain can close it for the day. Outside food and drinks are fine, but leave glass and alcohol in the car.
